Mobile phone History

A mobile telephone or cellular telephone (commonly, "mobile phone" or "cell phone") is a long-range, portable electronic device used for mobile communiction. In addition to the standard voice function of a telephone, current mobile phones can support many additional services such as SMS for text mesasaging, email, packet switching for access to the Internet, and MMS for sending and receiving photos and video. Most current mobile phones connect to a cellular network of base stations (cell sites), which is in turn interconnected to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) (the exception are satellite phones).

he introduction of hexagonal cells for mobile phone base stations, invented in 1947 by Bell Labs engineers at AT&T, was further developed by Bell Labs during the 1960s. Radiophones have a long and varied history going back to the Second World War with military use of radio telephony links and civil services in the 1950s, while hand-held cellular radio devices have been available since 1983. Due to their low establishment costs and rapid deployment, mobile phone networks have since spread rapidly throughout the world, outstripping the growth of fixed telephony.
In 1945, the 0G generation of mobile telephones were introduced. 0G mobile telephones, such as Mobile Telephone Service, were not officially categorized as mobile phones, since they did not support the automatic change of channel frequency in the middle of a call, when the user moved from one cell (base station coverage area) to another cell, a feature called "handover".

In 1970 Amos Joel of Bell Labs invented the "call handoff" feature, which allowed a mobile-phone user to travel through several cells during the same conversation. Martin Cooper of Motorola is widely considered to be the inventor of the first practical mobile phone for handheld use in a non-vehicle setting. Using a modern, if somewhat heavy portable handset, Cooper made the first call on a handheld mobile phone on April 3, 1973. At the time he made his call, Cooper was working as Motorola's General Manager of its Communications Division.

Fully automatic cellular networks were first introduced in the early to mid-1980s (the 1G generation). The first fully automatic mobile phone system was the 1981 Nordic Mobile Telephone (NMT) system. Until the early 1990s, most mobile phones were too large to be carried in a jacket pocket, so they were usually permanently installed in vehicles as car phones. With the advance of miniaturization and smaller digital components, mobile phones got smaller and lighter.

Manufacturers

Nokia Corporation is currently the world's largest manufacturer of mobile telephones, with a global market share of approximately 36% in Q1 of 2007.Other mobile phone manufacturers include Audiovox (now UT Starcom), Benefon, BenQ-Siemens, High Tech Computer Corporation (HTC), Fujitsu, Kyocera, 3G, LG Mobile, Motorola, NEC, Panasonic (Matsushita Electric), Pantech Curitel, Philips, Research In Motion, Sagem, Samsung, Sanyo, Sharp, Siemens, Sierra Wireless, SK Teletech, Sony Ericsson, T&A Alcatel,Toshiba, Verizon, and soon to be Apple Inc.. There are also specialist communication systems related to (but distinct from) mobile phones, such as Professional Mobile Radio.

Technology

Mobile phones and the network they operate under vary significantly from provider to provider, and nation to nation. However, all of them communicate through electromagnetic radio waves with a cell site base station, the antennas of which are usually mounted on a tower, pole or building.

The phones have a low-power transceiver that transmits voice and data to the nearest cell sites, usually not more than 5 to 8 miles (approximately 8 to 13 kilometers) away. When the mobile phone or data device is turned on, it registers with the mobile telephone exchange, or switch, with its unique identifiers, and will then be alerted by the mobile switch when there is an incoming telephone call. The handset constantly listens for the strongest signal being received from the surrounding base stations. As the user moves around the network, the mobile device will "handoff" to various cell sites during calls, or while waiting (idle) between calls it will reselect cell sites.

Cell sites have relatively low-power (often only one or two watts) radio transmitters which broadcast their presence and relay communications between the mobile handsets and the switch. The switch in turn connects the call to another subscriber of the same wireless service provider or to the public telephone network, which includes the networks of other wireless carriers. Many of these sites are camouflaged to blend with existing environments, particularly in high-scenery areas.

The dialogue between the handset and the cell site is a stream of digital data that includes digitized audio (except for the first generation analog networks). The technology that achieves this depends on the system which the mobile phone operator has adopted. Some technologies include AMPS for analog, and D-AMPS, CDMA2000, GSM, GPRS, EV-DO, and UMTS for digital communications. Each network operator has a unique radio frequency band.

Tracking Down a Mobile Phone

Tracing a call earlier was not possible. Over the past few years, technology has developed so much that we can now track down any phone or trace any phone call. Tracking down a landline is easy as they are fixed and permanent.

However, in the case of mobile phones, it is very difficult to narrow down the location because they are portable and always on the move.

Following the September 11 terror attack, it has become important to trace and track down phone calls of the terrorists so as to prevent these kind of attacks.

Phones are now traced using a process called triangulation. Prior to making a phone call, the phone sends a short message or a 'ping' to the nearest network masts or towers. These pings are sent in a bid to make their presence felt.

Subsequent to the pings being sent, the phone becomes active and phone calls can be made through it. These pings are sent in each and every possible directions so as to reach as many network masts as possible in the vicinity.

If the network masts are closer to the phone, then the signal strength will be higher. Though the pings are sent to many towers, the closest two towers are considered during the process of triangulation. This is determined through the signal strength.

This process is very useful in tracking down any phones. Even if the exact position of the caller cannot be calculated, it gives us a idea in general as to where the person is.

The exact position cannot be calculated because the caller will not be stationary i.e. will always be on the move. Further investigation can lead to tracking down that particular person.

Despite the fact that this technique is the most widely used form of tracking down a phone, software such as Google Latitude can also help you determine the whereabouts of your friends.

Save for this, that person must be a 'latitude' user. This software gives the exact details of the position of the person i.e. where he has been and so on. On the other hand, this software helps you track down the people who you already know and hence it may not be of much use.

To precisely track down any unknown person, other software has to be considered which is not easily available unless your reason is genuine. Software for this kind of applications is not easily available for the reason that it is an invasion of one's privacy.

If it is for tracking down a criminal or else if your reason is genuine, in that case the software can be obtained from the concerned authorities. Consequently, phones can at present be tracked with no trouble and quickly.

Tracing a Mobile Phone Location

In the years past, it would have been an impossibility to trace the location of a mobile phone; you would have been wasting your time. If it were a land line, it could have been a worthy venture but with mobile phones, it is a hard venture.

Today, the reverse is the case. You can trace a mobile phone's location with ease given the technological improvements that have happened to our world. Just after the September 11 attack, it became necessary for the authorities to be able to track where a mobile phone is making a call. Land phones do not have a problem with tracking because they are stationary but mobile phones are mobile and that means you have to move with it if you will track it.

The solution to this is the technology called Triangulation. Cell phones are designed in such a way that they will send "pings" to the nearest network masts to indicate their presence there. The moment a mobile phone moves into a new arena with new masts, it sends this pings to say, "I am here and I may want to make a call anytime so be there to process the calls".

The cell phone will send pings to every mast in its vicinity so far it can pick network from it but triangulation is done with the nearest two masts which is known by the strength of the signal. The third point is the phone itself. The triangulation is done with these three points.

Someone who is making a cell phone call from a particular location will be traced with triangulation. Although the exact potion of the person may not be ascertained because the said mobile phone caller may be on the move, but the city, street or even the block may be known i.e. we will have a range. A further probe will make it easier for us to track the person.

Apart from this technique used by the cell phone companies, Google Latitude is one way of knowing where your friends are. So far they are Latitude users as well as you are, you can actually tell where they slept last night, where they are right now so far they are with their cell phones!

This one however, may only serve the purposes of those you know and if you will need info on a mobile phone that you don't know the owner, then latitude may not work for you. You will need other service which may require a token fee for you to make a precise trace on the location of a phone.

Vehicle Tracking - Mobile Workforce Realtime Routing!

There was a time when fleet managers simply had no idea what went on once their field workers or dispatch drivers left the premises.

Without any type of mobile workforce tracking, the problems of extended breaks, unauthorised journeys during business hours and unnecessary routing meant lost time leading to overtime and an increased wages bill! According to some studies, over half of employees working off-premises do not provide a truthful record of their working hours.

For SMEs and larger-scale operations alike, there simply wasn't any form of vehicle tracker to supply an efficient or accurate method to verify a driver's location at any given time and ensure authorised vehicle use. Fleet owners had difficulty working with staff on measuring their job performance! Mobile phones alone, were not the answer!

GPS vehicle tracking can provide fleet managers and their business employers, vital realtime vehicle tracking data on when an employee starts a vehicle, arrives or leaves a job site, and when the vehicle terminates. A fleet tracking system owner will know exactly how much and how long the employee worked at each site and how long they worked during the entire day

Knowing the exact location of company vehicles means a fleet operator can quickly and easily make decisions to dispatch the vehicle closest to any job destination. As a result, GPS fleet tracking saves valuable fuel, reduces phone call time to drivers in the field, and dramatically improves client demand response times.

Many mobile workforce solutions supply realtime and archival routing data. By watching vehicles in transit, drivers can be advised on taking the most direct route, avoid or help drivers getting lost, and routed around traffic congestion and other road conditions.

Fleet tracking systems are customisable and can also incorporate accurate time/billing information, fully integrated into back office applications to automate payroll advice. Actual data on where drivers have travelled and where they are heading by combining location-and time-based information means fleet business owners can exactly track and verify employee hours worked.

Together with the elimination of manual time sheets a commercial vehicle tracking system saves time and human resources, streamlines back office productivity, improves customer service and ultimately, boosts a company's bottom line.

Phone Tracking Mobile Phones

Gone are the days when pranksters used to get away making a call and roaming scot free. I'm quite sure there are many of you here, who have your own experiences to narrate with pranksters. They can make your life hell indeed and ruin your peace of mind. These days due to advanced in technology, we all like cheaper alternatives and ways to do things easily. Many of you will agree with me on that one.

It is quite similar to track down a prankster. With the mobile phone tracking, you can easily track a prankster. It doesn't really matter if the prankster changes his/her address everyday as all you need to do is check your computer, and you have tracked him/her down. Before I go in telling you how phone tracking works, I would like to mention that this tool is also useful for tracking down your loved ones in emergencies.

In case your friends or family members are lost somewhere or in an emergency, once you have made contact with them, you can easily make out their locality and find them. Phone tracking can pin point their location in matter of seconds. Once you find out the exact location you can help them. This same thing applies for the prankster also. It is quite simple actually to get yourself a phone tracking software.

There are so many online service providers who are offering phone tracking software. You just need to search and make sure you purchase an original stuff. There are lots of scammers out there, and you don't want to get cheated on this one. Just by spending some time or contacting some one who knows good phone tracking software can save you the blushes.

You can also enter the mobile telephone digits of the prank call into a reverse lookup search page. After typing the digits, hit the start button and in matter of seconds, you get to know what you were looking for. Few reverse search websites provide you with incomplete information and some website may charge you. Either way, the next time a prankster calls, you can be rest assured that you can track him/her easily.

Mobile Tracking - Finding Out If That Guy Is the Right for You

When people get married, they never think that they will have problems and much less that they will get divorced someday. Unfortunately, today more people are getting divorced than ever.

There are many reasons for this, but most of them could be narrowed down to one: they didn't take the time to learn enough about their future spouses. Going out as boyfriend or girlfriend is a start, but that's not a sure way to know what your marriage will be like. For starters, when you go out, you only show the best part of you in order to be liked by the other person. The ugly parts are always hidden and will come as a surprise later one. Secondly, people sometimes have very ugly skeletons in their closet. They hide these even from their closest friends and relatives. However, in an intimate relationship such as the one that happens when people are married, these skeletons might come back to haunt the relationship.

One way to find out if there are any surprises that will spoil a marriage is through mobile tracking. Mobile tracking is done through a type of software that anyone can buy on the Internet and that allows you to see information about a person by gathering information from his or her phone.

Now, mobile tracking should not be used lightly. It is only meant to be used when you are thinking about a serious relationship, the kind that lasts for a whole life. If you're just having a fling or having a relationship just for fun, then mobile tracking is out of the question.

Of course, there are some people who argue that this is a bad practice, but just consider the following; a small investment and research can let you know things that you should really know about the person you are getting married to. For example, let's say that through mobile tracking you find out that your fiancé has a lover before you get married. Isn't this something you would really like to know before tying the knot? Or maybe you find out that your spouse to be is into drugs or has a secret child. Or maybe you find out that there is nothing hidden at all.

Even if it's not totally appropriate, isn't it better than finding out later, spending precious years of your life and go through an ugly divorce? And what about your future children? Won't they be affected by a divorce as well?

Prevention, as in everything else, is key. It's always better to know now that to regret later.

Global Trends in Mobile Telephony

Mobile phone's omnipotence now remains unquestioned. This is the clear indication given out to the consuming world at the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona recently. In the words of Eric Schmidt, Chairman and Managing Director of Google, the mobile phone is no longer just a device but is the alter ego of the user and has become fundamental to everything the user does. Manufacturing companies unveiled their plans to introduce new products and services in order to retain or achieve supremacy in the market. Reports also speak about the impending competition between various well known players. Samsung and Nokia are sure that they will retain the market shares in spite of the challenges posed by Apple and Technology leaders like Google and Microsoft. The participants were provided with the details of surging demands for Google Android mobile operating system in the global markets. Mobile market leaders have no doubts about their capabilities to make the products more consumer oriented. They exhibited their latest software applications which are 'designed to simplify communication and make the mobile phone the ultimate do anything gadget'.

The annual meet of the Industry leaders gave encouraging news to the consuming world. Microsoft is introducing Windows Phone 7 series, their new mobile operating system which can take on Apple iPhone. Accent is on social networking and communication to enlarge customer base or patronage. Samsung also announced their social oriented operating system 'Bada'. Sony Ericsson will foray into the market with their Mini X10 phone which is Google Android based one. Google Android has now several takers like Taiwan based HTC apart from well known brands like Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and Acer. It is not a simple device but 'the ultimate do anything gadget' that is awaiting the consumers when the impending plans of the industry leaders are materialized.

Mobile Video Trends You Can't Ignore

With smart phone usage rising steadily both in the U.S. and worldwide there's been a lot of buzz about mobile video lately. Whether they're viewing graphics, playing games, watching movies or short snippets of shows, cell phone users are gravitating to a medium that most marketers have yet to tap.

According to Nielsen's Three Screen Report for the first quarter of 2009, the 13.4 million Americans (up 52 percent from 2008) who watch videos on their phones view an average of 3-1/2 hours of mobile video every month. The research firm says the growth stems from increased mobile content and the rise of the mobile web as a viewing option.

"Smart phones and data plans are more affordable than ever," says Catrina Sheridan, vice president of products and marketing at dotMobi, a U.K.-based mobile Internet services firm, "and consumers are developing a familiarity and comfort with mobile content via their handsets. These factors make mobile video very attractive for marketers."

Here are six key trends that are unfolding right now in the mobile video world that you don't want to miss:

1 - iPhone users are leading the charge: Equipped with a YouTube app right on its welcome screen, the iPhone put mobile video on the map when it made its debut in 2008. With its original model now priced at $99, expect the iPhone to boost the number of mobile video users even further. "By the holiday season we expect to see a lot more consumers being able to view videos on their cell phones," says Eyal Yechezkell, CEO at New York-based Predicto Mobile, which touts itself as the largest "paid" mobile community.

2 - Mobile video isn't "one size fits all": Not all phone models support the same video format, nor does all video appear "correctly" on the hundreds of different smart phones available on the market today. "Be sure the footage you shoot is supported by the audience you're going after," advises Sheridan. "You don't want to create content for an iPhone audience in a format that the phone can't play." (Test your content before publishing it by going to.

3 - Apps are gaining traction: Highly unique, with focused functionality, apps for iPhone, Palm and Blackberry users are revolutionizing the mobile experience. Just three days after its app store celebrated its one-year anniversary in July, Apple's 65,000-strong app store hit the 1.5 billion download mark. Verizon Wireless and Sony Ericsson both threw their hats into the ring this year, with Verizon launching a carrier-branded store later this year and Sony Ericsson adding mobile apps to its PlayNow content offering.

4 - Marketers demand more accountability: High on San Francisco-based online advertising firm 1020 Placecast's list of "interactive advertising trends to watch right now" is the use of new, improved metrics to measure ad performance. The company points to "view-through," a method for gauging the impact of an ad that a consumer sees but does not click on, as a particularly useful tool for users of mobile video. View-through records a consumer's exposure to a specific display ad, and then measures when that consumer returns to the advertiser's site during a later session. Placecast says the tool is popular among marketers who want a more accurate measurement of their mobile video efforts.

5 - The medium plays well with others: Mobile video goes hand-in-hand with YouTube by allowing consumers to view user-generated content "on the go." It also adapts well in the growing online social networking arena, where users share video content in a viral fashion. "Combine all of these elements," says Sheridan, "and the end result is a huge, democratic marketing system that's applicable for companies of all sizes."

6 - Handset makers are answering the call: Whereas smartphones with data capabilities were once the domain of executives and the well-off, they are now commonplace among all consumers. "Anyone using a newer phone these days can 'consume' any type of media, including ringtones, graphics and videos," says Yechezkell. "As more and more of these sophisticated devices are purchased and used, marketers should be looking at how to promote their products via mobile video and/or the mobile Web."

With consumers checking their mobile phones the minute they wake up in the morning, before they go to bed and every few minutes during the day, Yechezkell says mobile video is a medium that no marketer can afford to miss out on. To maximize their investments in this arena, he says "test, test, test...and then test again" before putting any content out there for consumers to view.

"Use different types of ads to see how your audience reacts, and then adjust accordingly," Yechezkell says. "Make your call to action very clear (using a 'click here' button, for example), test out different banner sizes and inventories to find the right niche for your product in the mobile world."

Popular Cell Phones Information You Must Hav

From the time of its invention, the popularity of cell phones has increased in leaps and bounds. Today almost one fourth of the population of the world use these amazing devices, and the number is steadily increasing day by day. Today the cell phones have become more than just mere phones by the help of which you can just communicate with others. They have become the next word for entertainment and also an important office tool for many. The most popular cell phones are the ones which provide maximum features at the cheapest rates.

Right now cellular phones are used to access the Internet, chat, use it as a music player, click photos or video and so many other things. The manufacturer's of the most popular cell phones will often upgrade an existing model from time to time and make it available on the market to the consumers at a cheap rate. A popular mobile phone should be long lasting and durable and should be able to adapt to changes in weather conditions. Mobile phone manufacturers therefore generally test the phones that they manufacture through rough conditions and it is only after they pass through all these tests that they are available in the market.

Some of the main features of the most popular cell phones are the following

  • Electronic components generally suffer from the fact that they are very fragile and are not long lasting. The popular cellular phones should not suffer from the above disorder.
  • Sales of these popular mobile phones should be backed up by a good after sales services such as free servicing and a solid guarantee.
  • They should include the features that you need such as music player, a large memory support, touch screen, fast GPRS access and all the others.
  • They shouldn't cost too much. Their price should be reasonable and well within the reach of the common buyers.

Whenever you have to decide upon buying a new cellular phone for yourself, you must always check about the popularity of the cellular phone as well as its manufacturer in the market. Buying a popular cell phone will generally save you from any hassles after you buy the cell phone such as servicing and such likely problems. You can also go through the reviews about the cell phones on various sites on the Internet to check its popularity and then decide upon buying one for yourself. You can also purchase a mobile phone directly by placing an order on the Internet and thus skip all the hassles of going to a shop and choosing among various brands.

Free Reverse Cell Phone Lookup Websites - Do They Exist

Is it really possible to run a free reverse cell phone lookup on the internet? Many of us have become disillusioned and frustrated in the past with websites which appear to offer free products or services online but in fact do not. Is this the case with cell phone lookups?

Firstly let us examine exactly what we mean by a phone number lookup. If you have in your possession a residential phone number but no idea who the number belongs to or what address it relates to you can use a "reverse lookup" service to find out those details. This can obviously be very useful in situations where you have lost contact with someone but still have a record of their phone number, or simply wish to verify who owns the number before mistakenly phoning the wrong number. There are many places you can perform such residential and business phone lookups online for free, including toll-free numbers.

However a problem arises when you need to run a reverse lookup on a cellular phone as the free directories do not contain any such numbers. Similarly they do not contain fax numbers as this information is only held by the carriers and telecommunications companies. Do these records exist, and are they free?

The good news is there are websites which claim to offer large numbers of cell phone numbers, but they are not free. These websites naturally have to pay for access to some of this information, and go to the considerable trouble of pulling all the various resources together in one place, and as a result you will be charged a small fee before you can access the lookup databases. However the fee is a one-off payment and with some websites you can run as many searches as you like once you have access, with others they offer a single lookup for a lower fee. The records they claim to offer include cell owner details, address history, carrier details, and the phone connection status. It is also worth noting that the databases offered by each company differ to some degree, but most include cell phones and often residential, business, toll-free, even pagers, and these websites say your searches are guaranteed legal and confidential.

In addition to reverse lookups there are also similar websites which offer access to information such as background checks and background reports, people finder databases, bankruptcies, liens, public records databases including births, deaths, marriages, divorces and adoptions, sex offender records, police records, and much more. These sites operate in the same way, offering access to specific types of information for a set fee, however it should be noted that you will not receive access to such information as part of your cell phone lookup site membership.

I have seen websites claiming to offer free cell lookups, but they always lead eventually to the paid sites in the end, even allowing people to search for free and then charging to view the results. It is the sad truth that the only place where you are likely to find detailed reverse cell records is within the legitimate paid directories. In conclusion, the answer is no, free cell phone lookups do not currently exist. However if you really want to access such records then I believe paying a small fee is a price worth paying.

Information on the LG Optimus GT540

LG has continued to explore the possibilities of the Android operating system with the new LG GT540. Nicknamed the Optimus for ease of memorization, it is the next logical step from its predecessor, the GW620. Because of the similarities, development costs were relatively low in the Optimus's case, and those savings will likely be passed on to the customer. A QWERTY keyboard is just one of the features that add value to the Optimus that some of LG's earlier models did not possess. Some models of smartphones may be slightly smaller, but the Optimus can be easily placed in pocket with dimensions of 109 x 54.5 x 12.7mm. It is not heavy at all, owing to its lightweight, high quality plastic shell. Smoothly contoured edges bestow an attractive appearance upon the handset. Instantly noticeable is the 3-inch resistive touch screen that covers much of the front of the LG Optimus. Even though it is not a capacitive touch screen, it is rather accurate, reducing the chance of errors while navigating or typing. It displays images in HVGA resolution and image quality is ably presented on the TFT display. It exceeds most other models in the middle price range. Images are brought to life with 256K colors and a 320 x 480 pixel resolution.

Two types of home screens are found on the Optimus; the familiar, basic Android home screen and a LG designed, customized version. On the LG version, the user may customize buttons along the lower part of the screen that allow messaging access at any time. Also available are widgets, folders, and shortcuts. There is also the option to operate anywhere from three to seven home screens. The theme of the screens can also be modified. Some smartphone models aren't known for battery life, but this is not the case with the Optimus. The phone comes with a 1500mAh lithium-ion battery rated at 500 standby hours and up to 7 hours and 20 minutes while talking. Not many other smartphones can boast such numbers. Of course, the LG Optimus comes packed with miscellaneous features that will please the user who is looking to enhance the smartphone experience. On the Optimus you will find an alarm clock, world clock, voice recorder, personal organizer, a dedicated Youtube plug-in, a PDF viewer, and scads of other handy applications. An entry-level Android phone, the LG Optimus affords ease of use that will not overwhelm new users. These customers will like the ease of use, while the experienced user will find the familiarity useful.

The thing is, people will call you from their cell phones mostly because they know you can't trace them unless you put an effort and find a directory that will find it for you.

This type of directories are not the average ones you get everywhere and they contain a lot more information. The only ones that contain cell phone information are called reverse mobile directories. All they require you to do is sign up and type in the number. Once you do that they will let you know almost everything about the caller including name, address, zip code and even background and criminal reports. They contain millions of unlisted numbers and have helped thousands of people.

There's three type of numbers you need to make sure the directory contains before signing up. They are: land line, cell phones and unlisted ones. It will let you search the number even if you don't know where it's coming from and show you an exact map.

Texas Mobile Home Insurance Information

Texas mobile home insurance is available from several good companies. The cost depends on many factors. Listed below is a quote that I did for a single wide home north of Houston in a park.

  • $40,000 Dwelling coverage with $950 deductible
  • $1,000 other structures
  • $16,000 Personal Property
  • $100,000 Personal Liability
  • $1,000 Medical Payments To Others

This policy was $562 per year. Most policies cover fire, theft, windstorm, hail, explosion, falling objects, and bursting of water pipes. Liability coverage may be optional or included in a package. Some policies will offer options for the amount of deductible, replacement cost for personal property, jewelry coverage, firearm coverage, and other options.

Because all policies are not alike it is not always best to just get the least expensive policy. Ask you agent to explain the coverage options and consider what you are getting for what you are paying.

Here are some suggestions for getting a good policy:

· Be sure to get a high enough limit for the dwelling, consider what a new home would cost at today's prices if your home was destroyed.

· Get personal property coverage with a high enough limit and ask for replacement cost valuation.

· I suggest $100,000 in liability coverage or greater. This is inexpensive. On the quote example the client paid $5 per year to increase from $50,000 to $100,000.

· If a package is available it will probably be a better value.

· Remember that flood is not included and consider a separate policy for that.

· Deal with an experienced agent and have everything explained.

Find Someone by Cell Phone Number - Honest Information Without the Hullabaloo

Frustration! All you're trying to do is trace a cell phone number, but it's not so easy, is it? You're probably making a few very common errors. Relax I'll get you back on track, no problem. Most people end up on a few large sites, but these large sites are simply land line and business line directories. They're very popular web sites but they're not what we're looking for.

Don't waste your time with the big free sites, they're just like yellow pages or white pages directories. There aren't any cell phone numbers in there. And there certainly isn't a reverse cell phone directory...which is what we want.

Why don't the big sites have these cellular or mobile numbers, as they're sometimes called? Well, remember, cell phone companies are private companies...they are under no obligation to share their customers information with anyone! So, they don't.

How It Works - Find Someone By Cell Phone Number

What they do is they sell our information (their customer's information) to a few authorized web sites, these web sites in turn sell reverse cell phone lookup services and other services as well. That's how it all really works, there's no way around it. Although people will try. People always think they can get free information.

And thus the spam sites have a field day with these people. Don't fall for that crap. The spam sites promise us something for nothing and then they steal our credit card number, our name, our email address. They send us spammy offers. Of they may infect our pc with spyware. The internet can be a dangerous place. But, you don't have to worry too much, just remember that if they say it's going to be free...they're lying to you.

A Legal Site - Find Someone By Cell Phone Number

What we want to do here is find a good reliable, authorized site with all the cell numbers in the U.S. inside. Once we find a site that looks legit we're going to test out the data base and see if we can see how their operation works.

So, take a mobile number and plug it into the search box, hit enter, and test the site. What does the site return with? Is it a fast retrieval? Is a "full" and "available" report handy? Is the location of the cell phone geo-targeted? If you can safely answer yes to all these questions then you're going to be fine. You just found a good site. Congratulations!

Remember that these sites also sell basic people searches, and they may try to get you to upgrade to a basic people search membership. I did. And I actually like it a lot, I use mine quite frequently. Best of luck on finding that someone with their cell number...

Find Random Cell Phone Numbers Information

Random phone numbers are a complete pain, especially when the person on the other side of the phone is prank calling you or bugging you. If this is the case for you, you know that it may be time to find out who the person is so you can eliminate the phone call once and for all.

Not knowing who called is tough because you don't know what it is that they wanted. For example, it could be a long lost friend that somehow received your number. Or, it could be some person that you really do not want to have your number. Either way, it is important to find out who it is so you know for sure if they are important for not.

One way to do this is by using a reverse phone lookup. This is a service that allows you to search for all types of numbers including cell phone, land line, and unlisted numbers, and find information such as...

-Names, Addresses, Criminal Records, Warrant Searches, Background Checks, etc.

These directories are unlike the phone book in that they allow you to search for numbers in reverse. So instead of looking up people by their last name or their address, you can find them just by their number. This cuts the time down on finding people and allows you to search for people in a very short period of time.

So take the time to find a reliable directory and you will find exactly what you are looking for.

Directories That Provide Information About Cell Phone Numbers - Reverse Mobile Services

If you are constantly hounded by prank callers, then this article is for you. So many people have endured these pranksters for so long, thinking that there is no way to find out who's calling them. But this has got to stop. Technological advancements have made it possible for ordinary people like you and me to lookup cell phone numbers, without having to spend a fortune hiring a private detective to do the work.

In the past, only authorized individuals could lookup cell phone numbers. Because mobile information is unlisted, you cannot make use of public directories to find out who the owner is. You either had to be a detective, a police, or a member of a government agency to gain access to such information. But today, the Internet has made it possible for anybody to conduct a mobile phone number trace.

1. Search Engines

Search Engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing have become essential sources of information for people all over the world. It would be a good idea to start your search from these sites. If you are lucky, you could get useful findings. But do not get your hopes up because a lot of people refrain from posting their personal details on the Internet.

2. Social Networks

Websites such as Facebook are what is popularly known as social networking sites. A lot of people have Facebook accounts, and because registration is required prior to approval of membership, it is possible that people would include their contact details in their profile. But still, because providing Facebook with your mobile number is not compulsory to become a member, your chances of finding out who your caller is through social sites are pretty slim.

3. Reverse Lookup Websites

I would go as far as saying that when it comes to mobile phone number trace, the third option is the most effective. This is because the companies that render these kinds of service aim solely on helping people lookup cell phone numbers and landlines. This is their specialization, so to speak. There are two types of websites that performs reverse lookups- free and paid. I would personally recommend the paid lookup service because you are assured of accurate and relevant information. Free ones are usually affiliate sites, which could give you insufficient and even false info.

With reverse lookup, you can find the name of your unknown caller, his contact details, and family background. All these you can get in less than 5 minutes. The price? Let's just say it is cheaper than 3 packs of cigarettes!

Reverse Cell Phone Number Trace - Getting Detailed Information of Unknown Mobile Callers

We live in a world that is ever changing in terms of information technology. This is a positive development as far as telephone users are concerned. Technology has taken us to a level where we can sit back and trace any caller while in our offices. This is necessary because of the unbecoming attitudes of stalkers and unknown callers who have become something else these days. Reverse cell phone number trace is thus seen as the most efficient method of putting a stop to all that.

What do you need the reverse cell phone number trace for? You need it to trace prank callers, cheats, telemarketers and any other caller whose basic information you do not know. The introduction of the cellular phone gave room for a lot of freedom; freedom for both law abiding individuals, prank callers, cheats, telemarketers, etc. However, something needed to be done to resolve every issue that arose because of the coming of the cellular. This gave rise to the online mobile lookup service.

The vacuum created by inability of users to trace or track down unknown mobile callers is now a resolved issue. Plug in the mobile line of the caller into the mobile lookup site to find information that you may never find elsewhere. The yellow pages and search engines cannot provide you the same kind of report a mobile lookup is going to put at your disposal. Moreover, only reverse directories have the legislative ability to build and control databases of unlisted lines in the United States of America and beyond, and it cost them some money too!

The technology behind this service is designed to work only on the internet, making it better than using a private detective. The service is so easy that you can start doing it yourself right now! You can find a list of different mobile lookup sites on Google and Ask search engines, but that may not be the best way to go about searching for one. Reading reviews written by experts, and articles will do you a lot of favor. Better still, you can click on the link at the base of this article to get started.

Reverse cell phone number trace services are of two categories; the free ones, which offer their services free of charge, and the paid ones. For every user out there, use only a paid site when you want to find someone by cell phone number. The possibility of using a service free of charge might be tempting, but the results are not encouraging!

Mobile Phone Reverse Lookup - Get Detailed Information on Strange Callers

Many people do not want to call such numbers because it might belong to a telemarketer. In other cases, even when such numbers are called, the owners may not wish to give away his/her identity. Having some set of numbers without any clue as to whom they belong to is a terrible situation. These calls for solutions; and solutions can only be found when you make conscious efforts at a mobile phone number trace. What this implies is that you can trace number (listed and unlisted) on the internet. It also implies that what you may not be able to find in the conventional methods like; public records and free directories; you can find when you use a mobile directory.

The reverse lookup service was born out of the need to have a platform where people can trace all kinds of telephone lines. These lines include; listed and unlisted, cellular and analogue, and of course land lines. This is a conscious departure from what we had in the past; where certain lines were exclusive or considered to be private. Though those numbers are still regarded as confidential, users can still access them when they register with a mobile phone reverse lookup company on the internet.

To register with one of the many cellular directories on the internet is not the problem, what really is the problem is how to get a genuine site. Cell Phone Number Search - How to Reverse Lookup a Cell Phone Number

When do you need a reverse phone service?

If you want to find the name and location of the owner of a specific phone number (cellular or landline) and this number is not listed in whitepages or phone books, you will need a specialized reverse phone lookup service. These services operate by purchasing access to subscriber databases of various mobile operators and phone companies. By combining multiple sources of information, they provide users with a capability to search through a huge database containing almost all phone numbers in the USA. This database includes land line numbers, unlisted numbers and cell phone numbers.

Reverse phone lookup services are bound by agreements with phone companies, which prohibit them from providing this information for free (primarily for the reasons of privacy). This is the reason why you need a valid credit card or paypal account to register and use these services. This ensures that they cannot be utilized for illegal purposes (e.g. stalking.) Besides, phone companies charge for access to their databases in the first place, so reverse lookup services try to recoup some of their costs by requiring a subscription fee.

Are there any free alternatives to paid reverse phone lookup services?

If you don't feel like using paid services, there are a few alternatives that may help. You may look up the number in publicly available whitepages or phone books, or use an internet search engine, such as Google or Yahoo. However, if the number in question is cell phone or unlisted, you search will most likely provide no results, because such information is not publicly available. It won't hurt to try, though.

What kind of information you can expect to find using a cell phone lookup service?

You can expect to find the owner's name and address. Some services also provide additional information such as the list of household members.

How to use a reverse phone lookup service?

Simply enter the phone number which you are researching into the online form. Most services will immediately provide the following information for free:

* Whether the phone number in question is cellular or land line.
* The precise location (city and state) where the number is registered.
* Whether any additional information about this number is available.

To find the name of the phone's owner, you will need to purchase access to the service (a nominal yearly fee is usually required). As mentioned above, the registration requirement is a way of ensuring the service will not be used illegally.

Are reverse phone lookup services legal?

Yes, cell phone lookup services are completely legal, provided you use the obtained information for lawful purposes. In particular, you are not allowed to take advantage of this information for making telemarketing calls.

How to Trace a Mobile Phone Number - Get Good Honest Information Completely Confidentially

How To Trace A Mobile Phone Number

In order to trace a mobile phone number you have to find the right kind of site. You have to find a legitimate honest site with good accurate information. Unfortunately, many people have trouble finding that type of site. Most commonly they will land on a large site with no cell number information on it!

Sites like anywho.com and whitepages.com are the most likely sites that people will find, but there is no cellular number information on these large sites. There are certainly no reverse directories on these sites as well, which is what we're really looking for. Its unfortunate, but true.

And, the reason why is most likely that they make a lot of money off of selling our information to other large databases. It's exactly these sites that we want to find and use. But, we need to know what we're doing first.

We don't want to fall for any scams on any of these spam sites. A spam site is a site that's aim is to either infect our computer with spyware, re-direct us to some offer that we don't need or want, or even steal our personal data and/or credit card number. We must be careful.

The number rule to follow is this, if they say it will be a completely free service then it's most likely a spam site. There are no directories or services that function this way. If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is, beware. Hit that back button and move on.

One final thing to remember is that these large database sites also have other products, they may ask us if we want to sign up for a yearly membership. This is good for doing basic people searches, I like the service and use mine all the time. Of folks, good luck with your mobile phone number trace...

Mobile Information Software - A Spy for Mobile Phones?

Mobile information software is a piece of software that you can easily buy on the Internet and that essentially works as a spy for mobile phones. At a price of around $50 dollars, it's much cheaper than the traditional option of hiring a private investigator, which usually charges around $300 per hour.

Yes, you get a spy for mobile phones instead of a spy for people, but consider that almost everyone has a mobile phone these days and you will see that by following the actions of the phone, you're also following the actions of the person that is holding it. Even children have their own mobile phones, which makes this software very attractive for parents who want to keep an eye on their children.

In addition, the concept of a spy for mobile phones is also very accurate. This type of software was designed to be undetectable by any means. Only the person who installed it on the phone knows that it's there. A phone with the software on it doesn't have an extra menu, doesn't display an extra icon on the screen, there are no buttons, signs, beeps or any other signs that may tell the carrier of the phone that the phone has special tracking software installed on it.

And what would a spy be worth if it didn't gather information? A spy for mobile phones does just that: gather information about a phone. This is precisely why people buy this kind of software. What they do with the information is a different matter.

Fortunately, this type of software is expensive enough that it's not worth buying for pranks or games. However, it's cheap enough that if you have a serious and important purpose for it, you'd find the $50 price tag reasonable enough, especially considering the alternatives. How much would you pay a private investigator to find out if your husband or wife has an affair? How much is it worth to you finding out which of your employees is stealing from your company? How much would you be willing to pay to find out if your child is into drugs? I'm pretty sure that $50 dollars would be a cheap price for all of these.

Compare this with how much would you be willing to pay to find out what girl your best friend likes. For these kinds of things, fortunately, the price is not worth it.

So, as you can see, a spy for mobile phones really lives up to its name, both in discreetness and effectiveness.
